Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Yave Networks ("Company") and users regarding the use of the YavePay subscription management service (pay.yave.net, "Service").
The Service is provided solely to manage subscriptions to software products owned and operated by the Company. The Company does not provide payment processing, merchant acquiring, money transmission, or payment services to third-party businesses through the Service.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means all features the Company provides for subscribing to and managing the Yave software products it owns and operates: payment method registration, one-time payments, recurring payments (subscriptions), Yave Rewards points, refunds, and referral rewards.
- "User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Yave service" means an individual Yave software product subscribed to through the Service; all of them are owned and operated by the Company itself. The Company does not sell third-party products through the Service.
- "Payment method" means a card, etc. registered by the user, stored only as a billing key issued by the payment gateway (PG).
- "Recurring payment (subscription)" means a payment automatically charged to the registered payment method according to the cycle and amount the user agreed to.
- "Points" means units earned through Yave Rewards and usable only for discounts on products designated by the Company; they cannot be purchased, transferred, withdrawn, or redeemed for cash.
Article 3 (Effect and Changes)
- These Terms take effect upon posting within the Service or notification by email.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by law, with at least 7 days' notice before the effective date (30 days for changes unfavorable to or material for users).
- A user who does not agree to the amended Terms may remove their payment method and discontinue use.
Article 4 (Account and Sign-in)
Use of the Service requires a Yave account. Account registration, authentication, profile, withdrawal, and the related processing of personal data are governed by the Terms and Privacy Policy of the Yave Account Service (accounts.yave.net).
Article 5 (Registering a Payment Method)
- Users may register a card, etc. held in their own name. By registering a card, the user is deemed to agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- The Company does not store the original card number; payment methods are stored only as a billing key issued by the payment gateway (PG).
- Users must not register or use another person's payment method without authorization; the user is responsible for any resulting liability.
Article 6 (One-time Payments)
- Users pay for a checkout request created by a Yave service using their registered payment method.
- Transaction terms such as amount and currency are authoritative as finalized by the server; where the client display differs, the server value prevails.
- Users may apply their available points as a discount on eligible products.
Article 7 (Recurring Payments and Subscriptions)
- A recurring payment begins only after the billing cycle, charge amount, and next charge date are shown before the first charge and the user agrees.
- Users may cancel a subscription at any time on the subscriptions screen; after cancellation no further charges are made from the next cycle (already-started periods follow paragraph 4 and Article 8).
- The Company may change the subscription amount with prior notice before the next charge. A user who does not agree may cancel.
- Refunds for recurring payments follow the refund and cancellation policy in Article 8.
Article 8 (Cancellation and Refunds)
- Users may withdraw their purchase under applicable law (the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.). Where withdrawal is restricted by law (e.g., certain digital content), those restrictions apply.
- A user-initiated (self-service) refund is available only within 24 hours of payment for unused items; other refunds are processed subject to the relevant Yave service's policy and the Company's review. Refunds for eligible purchases charged in US dollars follow the policies and procedures of Paddle, the Merchant of Record for those transactions.
- Refunds arising from defects or non-performance of the software itself follow the relevant Yave service's refund policy and applicable law; the Company bears responsibility for performance.
- Approved refunds are made, in principle, to the original payment method; points used in the payment may be restored as points upon refund.
- Units granted free of charge, such as reward points, are not refundable to cash.
Article 9 (Yave Rewards Points)
- Points are earned through Yave Rewards activities (milestones, referrals, etc.) and used only for discounts on products designated by the Company. They cannot be purchased, transferred, withdrawn, or redeemed for cash, and are neither a means of payment nor a deposit.
- Points may have an expiry; expired points are forfeited, and deductions are made in order of nearest expiry (FIFO).
- The Company may reclaim or void points/rewards obtained by improper means.
Article 10 (User Obligations)
- Using another person's payment method or account without authorization
- Fraudulent payments, abuse of refunds, or improper acquisition of reward points
- Disrupting the normal operation of the Service or bypassing security features
- Violating the law or these Terms
Article 11 (Company Obligations and Payment-Processing Notice)
- The Company strives to provide the Service stably in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
- The currency and the processing party are determined by the language setting of the user's account. Where the account language is Korean, the purchase is charged in Korean won and processed through the Company's local payment partners (PortOne and connected PGs such as KCP); for all other languages the purchase is charged in US dollars and eligible purchases are sold and processed by Paddle, the Merchant of Record for those transactions. The Company protects personal data under the Privacy Policy.
- The Company retains payment and refund transaction records for the period required by law.
Article 12 (Disclaimers)
- Every Yave software product subscribed to through the Service is owned and operated by the Company itself, and the Company bears responsibility for its content, quality, and performance in accordance with applicable law and that service's terms.
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by user negligence (leaked payment methods, phishing, etc.).
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
